Editor, writer and content strategist working at the intersection of visual culture and digital media.
I’m an NCTJ-qualified journalist with over a decade of experience editing, writing and commissioning in digital and print media, advertising, art and photography.
Some background on me: I was Senior Digital Editor at Magnum Photos (2016-2019), establishing the prestigious 70-year-old photographic agency as a digital media publisher, from development phase through the first 3+ years of magnumphotos.com.
Previous to this, I worked as acting editor for NOWNESS, I was digital content editor for Serpentine Galleries, and a content strategist and editor at M&C Saatchi.
I write about visual culture. My editorial work has been published by: AnOther Magazine, Dazed & Confused, Vanity Fair, Sleek, Elephant, L'Oeil de Photographie, Wonderland, Protein, The Spaces, Phaidon, Flaunt, and Interview Magazine, amongst others.
My writing and archival work has been cited in a number of articles, academic papers and books. This includes those published by The Sorbonne and Criterion, and in the show notes of You Must Remember This. Books citing my work include: ‘Time in Fashion, Industrial, Antilinear and Uchronic Temporalities’ (Bloomsbury), and ‘The DIY Movement in Art, Music and Publishing: Subjugated Knowledges’ (Routledge).
I have provided editorial direction, commercial copywriting/editing, or content strategy work for a number of fashion and lifestyle brands. This includes work for: DITA, Orlebar Brown, Matches Fashion, Mulberry, Burberry, NET-A-PORTER, SSENSE, Kickers, Gap, MARIOTESTINO+.
I also mentor with Arts Emergency, a network that mentors young people from diverse and marginalised backgrounds who are interested in working in the creative industries.
